RAI Motorsport is proud to offer the
ultimate Front Mount Intercooler for the B7 A4 2.0T. Designed to be a
drop in replacement for the stock side mount intercoolers, this is
the perfect upgrade for both stock cars and big turbo cars alike.
As with all of our intercoolers, the
heart of this system is built around a high density core from Garrett
Turbochargers. The Garrett core features the most dense arrangement
of internal cooling fins available today. The high
density internals coupled with a large surface area keep the charge
air cool no matter what. Our dyno testing has shown that that even
after multiple runs, the system will not heak soak. Whether you are
racing in the ¼ mile or sitting in traffic, this system keeps the
temps down and the horsepower up!
With this high density core, we set out
to design a proper end tank that would channel airflow to all
rows of the intercooler. Our end tank design features gradual slopes
with mandrel bent inlets. This superior design has no internal
disruptions that harm spool and increase internal pressure loss.
Our piping kit features 4-ply
re-enforced silicone and mandrel bent 6061 aluminum piping with a
mirror finish polish. It is designed to bolt directly to the factory
turbocharger and intake manifold. The 2.25 inch diameter pipe was
been proven to over 600 horsepower and features a CNC machined MAP
sensor fitting. All piping is bead rolled and secured with stainless
steel constant tension T-bolt clamps.
There is no need to trim your bumper
cover or remove your fog lights. You have the option of purchasing a
modified bumper reinforcement that is ready to bolt to your car. The
modification is straight forward with basic power tools and can be
performed in about one hour.
A dual row power steering cooler is
also available as an option. It comes with all the hardware necessary
to mate to the factory power steering system. This is an upgrade over
the factory piece which will extend the life of the pump.
